Movie Review : THE KING’S SPEECH 2010
Dear WordPress Readers!
-The King’s Speech-
For once, I loved a movie that was untypical. Nowadays, it is not popular and common to make movies based on history. Truthfully, I’m glad that some British directors took the initiative to publish a historical drama.
The absolute negative side of the movie was its pacing. I thought it was very slow.
Yeah, It well can’t be helped. The main character has a speech impediment issue which is why the dialogues were slightly out of pace.
Besides that small critique, I thought the actors were picked well as they played their roles accurately.
Helene Bonham Carter acted her cold-hearted woman but with a soft touch of warmth in her.
Geoffrey Bush acted superbly! He did not overact using dramatic expressions but he kept his acting to a natural style, which I admired.
Overall, this movie was daring, and precious in many ways. I would give it a 3.7/5.
The King’s Speech won itself 3 Oscars- Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Picture Film.
Odile!
